Cookie Policy

Awaley Technologies Ltd

Clear choices about cookies and online technologies.

01 About this Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how Awaley Technologies Ltd ("Awaley", "we", "us" or "our") approaches cookies and similar technologies on awaleytech.com and Awaley-controlled webpages. It should be read together with our Privacy & Data Protection Policy.

For questions about privacy and online tracking, contact privacy@awaleytech.com.

02 What cookies and similar technologies do

Cookies are small files stored in a browser. Websites and applications may also use comparable technologies, including local or session storage, pixels, tags and identifiers, to remember settings, operate features, keep services secure or measure usage.

Their privacy implications depend on their purpose, the information they access and the relevant law, not simply on whether they are called cookies or technical tools.

03 Categories of technologies

The following categories describe the purposes for which technologies may be used on Awaley-controlled web properties. They do not mean that each category is active on every page.

  • Strictly necessary: technologies required to deliver a requested page or feature, maintain security, balance traffic or remember a privacy choice. These are used only to the extent legitimately necessary.
  • Preferences: technologies that remember optional choices such as a language or display preference.
  • Analytics and performance: technologies that measure visits, page interactions, performance or errors beyond strictly necessary operational records.
  • Third-party functional services: technologies associated with optional embedded media, scheduling, maps or other external features.
  • Marketing: technologies used for campaign attribution, advertising measurement, remarketing or cross-site behavioural profiles.

The specific technologies in use may change as the website evolves. Optional categories are subject to the consent and control standards described below.

04 Consent and privacy choices

Where applicable law requires prior consent, optional cookies and comparable technologies are not activated until the visitor has made a valid choice. Visitors should be able to accept optional technologies, reject them or select categories independently, without being forced to accept optional tracking to access ordinary website content.

Ignoring a banner or continuing to browse is not treated as affirmative consent to non-essential tracking where such consent is required. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already carried out lawfully before withdrawal.

Cookie choices can be managed through the Cookie Settings control when optional technologies are enabled. Browser controls may also be used to delete or limit cookies, although disabling technologies necessary for a requested function may affect its operation.

05 Third-party technologies and external services

Some pages or features may link to or embed services operated by third parties, such as video hosting, scheduling, analytics or interactive AI services. Where enabled, their own privacy information and contractual terms may apply to the information they handle.

Third-party optional content should not be used as a reason to bypass applicable consent requirements. Awaley applies the relevant data protection and supplier assessment arrangements when third-party processing is introduced.

06 Cookie duration and retention

Session technologies ordinarily expire when the browsing session ends. Persistent technologies remain for the duration required for their stated purpose, unless deleted earlier or a different period is required by law. The actual lifetime depends on the specific technology and its configuration.

Information collected through cookies or similar technologies is retained according to its purpose and our Privacy & Data Protection Policy. We seek to avoid retaining identifiable online usage information for longer than necessary.

07 International processing

Depending on a feature and its provider, cookie-related information may be processed in a country other than the visitor’s location. Where personal data is involved, transfers are handled in accordance with the applicable data protection requirements and safeguards.

The DIFC data protection framework is relevant to Awaley’s DIFC activities. Other requirements may apply where website activities or data processing fall within onshore UAE, other GCC, West African, EU or UK law. No single cookie setting automatically establishes compliance in all these jurisdictions.

08 How to contact us and updates

If you have a question about this Cookie Policy or wish to exercise a data protection right relating to online tracking, contact privacy@awaleytech.com.

We may amend this Policy when technologies, purposes or applicable requirements change. Material changes affecting optional tracking may require us to request a new choice. The current effective date is displayed at the top of the Policy.
